MERRA-2 meteorological re-analysis

This web service, available worldwide thanks to the interactive maps below, delivers time series of Temperature, Relative Humidity, Pressure, Wind speed and direction, Rainfall, Snowfall, Snow depth and Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI).
Time steps range is from 1min and up to 1month (original data are hourly). Spatial resolution of approx. 50 km. Data are available since Jan. 1980 and are regularly updated with approx. one month of delay.

MERRA-2 was introduced in 2016 to replace the original MERRA dataset because of advances made in assimilation system (MERRA stands for Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications).
